Technical Background of the Inventor

Denis Stewart, inventor of the Myark Multi-Function Tool, is a certified Boilermaker and Coded Welder with a career spanning major industrial construction projects across New Zealand and Australia, including oil refineries, power stations, steel mills, and LNG facilities.

Holding ASME Section IX 6G certification, Denis specialises in stainless and duplex steel pipe, chrome-molybdenum high-pressure piping, flux core 4G, stove pipe ASME IX 6G, and A-grade aluminium welding and fabrication. His experience includes extensive FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) work across Western Australia, where precision and reliability were paramount.

The first-generation Myark prototype wrenches were field-tested in these demanding industrial environments, proving their strength, safety, and performance under real-world conditions. Over 12 years of development in China, Denis advanced the design through continuous engineering refinement, material optimisation, and innovative production methods—balancing hands-on technical development with entrepreneurship and family life.

Beyond the Multi-Function Tool, Denis is also the inventor of the Myark Amphibious Self-Trailer Folding Pontoons, now entering its final phase of development and ready for joint manufacturing in China.

His inventive achievements have earned national recognition, including a one-hour New Zealand television documentary on inventors, feature coverage and on the front cover of a book called Kiwi Ingenuity, inclusion in the book Number Eight Wire, and First Place at the National Fieldays Invention Awards for the Myark Amphibious Pontoon design.
